For regulation of production and management of health foods, recognition and treatment of 4 problems were discussed. They were overstating the health functions of the foods by their raw materials; indicating or hinting the therapeutic functions of the foods; ambiguous explanations in the directions of the foods and labels and directions inconsistent with requirement of sanitary regulations. The methods to deal with above problems were suggested. The suggestions may be beneficial to the regulation of health foods.
