Abstract:A food poisoning case in Guangzhou due to eating the soup containing mushroom and pork was reported. Among the 5 persons having a common dining history,3 persons had poisoning symptoms including hypersomnia,thirst,dizziness,and other nervous system symptoms. By medical treatment,all of the patients recovered after two days. 17 residual mushroom samples of poisoning spot were collected for examination. Suillus placidus(Bon) Sing,Pulveroboletus ravenelii (Berk.et Curt) Murr,and Boletus satanas Lenz were detected in 3 samples, respectively. Results showed that this food poisoning case was caused by eating these poisonous mushrooms. This case suggests that it is necessary to strengthen food safety management and popularize the awareness of mushroom poisoning. Moreover, no collecting and eating unknown mushroom may be the best prevention measure.
