The occurence of food poisoning in schools is increasing with the development of market economics.In order to prevent and control food poisonings in schools effectively,it is urgent to improve the quailty of supervision and management of food safety in schools.Through presenting the food poisonings occurred in school in Haikou city from the year 1999 to 2003,the authors put forward the existing problems of supervision and management of food safety in the schools.The key to ensuring food safety in schools is believed to be promoting the supervision and management of the food hygiene and developing health education to students and kitchen staff.
