Abstract:The paper introduced three main kinds of control systems of food safety, which were multiple agency system, single agency system and integrated system, in order to provide a reference for the relevant departments of the government. On the basis of the research of the evolution, the present situation and the setting of government department on food safety in Japan, Germany and Australia, we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the three models, and summarized the tendency of the control system of food safety: 1. to build a food law system which should govern the whole food chain; 2.to build an independent evaluation and coordination committee;3. state departments should have the responsibility for supervising local agency to implement on the food law and the standard; 4.to pay more attention to public opinion and operate on the principle of benefiting the consuming public.=
