This paper is a summary of the recent developments of analytical techniques for the determination of anthraquinones. The qualitative techniques include TLC, combined use of MS, HNMR, CNMR and DEPT, infrared chromatography, visible light chromatography and ultraviolet chromatography. The quantitative methods include colorimetry, HPLC, TLC and CE.
