Abstract:To provide suggestion to the national strategy on safety control of food packaging, the food packaging regulations in the U.S, EU, Japan and Korea were analyzed and compared in terms of regulation setting, managing organization and procedure of management. Contrast to the management model in China, perfect regulation system and clear management programme have been built in developed countries. This papaer brought forward some advices to improve the national food packaging management. An integrate regulation system and a national standard (GB) should be built promptly. Capability building on safety assessment and detective on food packaging should be enhamced too. .
