Objective To reveal the level of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins ( PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzo-p- furans ( PCDFs) in some commercially available poultry p roducts from Shenzhen markets. Method Twenty six poultry p roduct samp les were collected, extracted and purified, and 17 kinds of PCDD /Fs were determined by isotope dilution HRGC/HRMS from December 2004 to October 2008, in accordance with the method ofUSEPA 16131Results PCDD /Fs (pgWHO-TEQ /g fat) in poultrymeatwere in the range of 0103～1161 (mean: 0150) ; PCDD /F_s in poultry eggswere in the range of 0122～5166 (mean: 1143). PCDD /F_s levels in one poultrymeat and one poultry egg samp le were 1161 and 5166 respectively, which were higher than the EU_s executive standards. Conclusion The average level of PCDD /F_s in the investigated poultry p roducts was lower than the EUps limits and only individual samp les were polluted.
