There are some problems in the inspection of import and export foods. They include:the time needed for the testing of some foods is not short enough for the shelf life of the foods;some defects exist in sampling; the standard of the test method do not suitable for the work;the test methods and equipment are not updated;the test charge cannot compensate the test cost.We propose that HACCP be operated in food industries which produce foods with short shelf life;sampling methods be revised;some present food standards be amended;the national standards of testing methods of import and export foods be revised and unified;updated technology, equipment and reagents be adopted and the test charge be raised according to the test cost.
