Abstract:Objective To raise the hygienic quality of meat products.Method The occurrences of food safety events caused by insanitary meat products in China were reviewed.Results The main problems were microorganism pollution, abuse of veterinary drugs and additives, water flooding into meat, selling pork from sick pig, using poisonous chemical to prevent meat from going bad and slaughtering pig without license.Conclusion strengthening the management of meat safety and hygiene and revising the law and regulations related with meat production is urgently needed.
